David & Daniela: wedding photo session in Crete
Elopements While travelling the Aegean sea, you might find many amazing Greek islands. Some are breathing with history (Rhodos, Crete,..) others offer unforgettable night life like Mykonos. You can also find traditional villages where the time stood still (e.g. in Karpathos, Paros,...). Sooner or later, you will reach the shores of the largest Greek island, Crete. Where you have it all... and even more. Crete is a tapestry of unmatched history, amazing turquoise beaches, vibrant cities, ancient treasures and warmhearted locals who will not hesitate to invite you for a glass of retsina. David and Daniela knew that Crete will be a very important place in their life. Not because they would get married there... David and Daniela was married one year ago. Although their love got even stronger, wedding photographs did not match their expectations (it is very important to choose a wedding photographer wisely). So they have got the brilliant idea (which every couple being in a similar situation, could make happen): they decided to travel from Germany to Crete and have their wedding images photographed again. Now by a real professional destination wedding photographer - me. Considering the fact that this photo trip could be accompanied by a fantastic honeymoon in Greece, this idea was no brainer at all. We started our afternoon photo session at the Fortezza of Rethymno. It is breathing with history, offering many stunning backdrops and views. Then we moved to a nearby beach which offered us more romantic surroundings. The "golden hour" during sunset was just the right time to get wet a little bit. And the result is just stunning. I am very happy that I met David and Daniela, such a lovely couple, in Crete, Greece. We really enjoyed our afternoon wedding photo session. And you know what makes me even more satisfied? That I know that their new wedding heirloom album will be passed through other generations with pride.
